ARKOUDOSPELIO CAVE AT AKROTIRI

At Gouverneto monastery I thought people should see the Bear-cave (Arkoudospilio) and the small church of the Presentation of Christ inside the cave. 

A bear-shaped stalagmite is what has created the myth of a bear, drinking the water of the monks from the small cistern that is located in the cave, and after their prayers for help, the Virgin Mary turned it to stone.
